The project involves the rehabilitation of 23 air transitions from the main gas pipeline (Φ 711) to Greece and the transit gas pipeline (Φ 1020) to North Macedonia. The repair of the facilities is necessary due to the compromise of the anticorrosive coating on the pipes as a result of the lack of protective insulation tape at the transitions from ground to air. At both ends of the transitions, there are no barriers with warning signs, which creates conditions for unauthorized access to the gas pipelines, posing risks of incidents or damage to the infrastructure.
