NETTING AND ANCHORING OF ROCKS – “STRUMA” HIGHWAY

OBJECT:
“Securing slopes on the “Struma“ motorway by laying high-strength nets, anchors and ropes“
Client
“JAMBO 33“ Ltd.
Contractor:
“VECTOR CONSTRUCT“ EOOD
Location:
Struma Motorway from km. 31+690 to km. 33+820

Description:

The project represents the largest-scale road infrastructure protection in Bulgaria through the collapse, netting and anchoring of rock slopes. High-strength nets were installed after thorough cleaning of the rocks from surface erosion. In the areas with earth-rock masses, a mat for hydroseeding was laid under the nets for the purpose of grassing. Depending on the geology of the individual slopes, the length of the anchors varies between 6 and 10 meters, and they are staggered relative to each other every 2 or 3 meters. The project was completed without stopping traffic on one of the busiest highways in our country.
