Description:

The project was initiated following a rockfall onto the railway track within the trench area, causing infrastructure damage. The slopes have been secured with high-strength mesh, “wrapped” onto the rock face using anchors. The works were carried out by technicians trained in rope-access methods within scheduled railway windows.

Details

Before securing the slopes, manual scaling of eroded rock masses was performed;
A total of 900 meters of IBO R 32 anchors (3 meters long) were installed in a staggered arrangement every 2.5 meters;
Drilling for the anchors was performed using lightweight rigs, and their injection was carried out with cement using an injection pump;
2,000 m² of TECCO high-strength mesh (3 mm wire thickness) by the Swiss company Geobrugg was installed.
