Description:

The aim of the project is the restoration of the church building, which has over 400 years of history, as well as the restoration, conservation and preservation of the church murals in it. During the implementation of the site, which is also a cultural monument of regional importance, 158 m2 of murals were restored.
The project was implemented under the Operational Program Regional Development of the European Union. The church building has been completely restored. The roof has been replaced with old Bulgarian tiles, the external walls have been cleaned and grouted, the internal premises have been plastered with lime plaster.
New fence walls and vertical planning have been completed, the yard has been landscaped. A site water supply system has been installed and outdoor yard lighting has been built.

Details

The repaired roof is 370 m2 and includes replacing the planking and covering it with ondulin and old Bulgarian tiles;
The walls of the church have been strengthened and restored by resurfacing, cleaning and grouting, and the inside has been plastered with lime plaster;
A site water supply system with a crane shaft, site sewage, drainage around the church building, brick inspection shafts and a cesspool were constructed;
A gate and fence walls of the "Arbanashka" type were built, a courtyard stone fountain was built in detail, vertical planning and landscaping were completed;
The building near the church, which served as a depot for the frescoes, which were taken down and stored there more than 40 years ago, has been renovated;
The conservation and restoration activities in the church building include the transfer and aestheticization of 158 m2 of frescoes with over 400 years of history.
